December 8-11, 2019
Ian Sharp (University Hospital Birmingham, United Kingdom)
Marcelo Figari (Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, Argentina)
This 4-day, Masters-level course focuses on state-of-the-art techniques and best practices at a master's level in facial trauma. Emerging technologies and clinical controversies are addressed. Using human anatomical specimens, surgical access techniques and approaches to the upper facial skeleton and condyle are developed. Patient cases and outcomes are discussed with expert faculty in small group discussions. This course is delivered using a combination of small group discussions, cases, exercises with human anatomical specimens or other simulation materials (when appropriate), and summary lectures. All activities are moderated by expert faculty in a highly interactive learning environment. Participants are encouraged to discuss the cases and content in an open manner and to share their own experiences.
Due to demand, this year for the first time the Masters Course will include 1 full day of 3D hands-on computer planning. This day of the course will be led by Florian Thieringer and Sabine Girod.
